The 8 pieces of music are composed specifically to complement and enhance the practice of tai chi. For the artists on this recording, it was a journey to express in music the feelings aroused by Tai Chi. They hope that you will hear the same beauty and inner strength that Tai Chi inspired in them. "Save the Date": TCAA Members Gathering
Following my proposal in January newsletter, re: meeting of TCAA members, I am pleased that the committee has given the idea considerable thought. To refresh your memory, my proposal is for TCAA members to meet at least once a year, informally, to get to know each other a little bit more, to exchange ideas, focus on various forms etc.
Where: Sydney: Bradfield Park, Milsons Point, NSW
(Next to Milsons Point Train Station)
When: Sunday June 13, 12:00-4:00pm
This occasion will be an opportunity also to present our skills to the public, so I am also suggesting that we have some people demonstrating forms, at set times. As I mentioned in January newsletter, this occasion would be an ideal time for people thinking of joining TCAA to come along and see what we have to offer.
I would also recommend that teachers/ instructors inform their students about the day, so they can see the various skills available. I look forward to our meeting/exchange of ideas.
Please confirm your participation for if you have any suggestions or inquiries please contact: Brian Gregson, bjpublishing@bigpond.com |
World Tai Chi & Qigong Day,
A message from the organisers in USA
All are invited to join in thousands of events in hundreds of cities, in over 65 nations, spanning 6 continents, coming on April 24th and in Australia on April 25. The event is free and all ages are invited.
A global wave of mass free teach-ins and exhibitions will enable you to be part of the Tai Chi & Qigong participatory events that will wrap our planet in healing intention.
Tai Chi is believed to Boost the Immune System - slow down the Aging Process - Lower High Blood Pressure - Reduce the incidence of Anxiety, Depression and overall mood disturbance - and Tai Chi is proven to be the most effective balance and coordination conditioner in the world.
This extraordinary global happening has been covered by CNN, Brazilian National TV, The New York Times, BBC World Radio, The South China Morning Post, USA Weekend and media worldwide in many languages.
The event has been officially proclaimed by 22 US governors, the senates of New Jersey, New York, and California and by legislatures and mayors of many states and nations.
This year's motto is "One World ... One Breath." It will be a day that people come together across racial, ethnic and geo-political boundaries to join in a healing wave of intention to advance personal and global health. |
